The BRED Series rods (BardeRodz Engineered & Designed) come with a one (1) year limited warranty from the date of purchase. This warranty coverage is limited to the original owner and requires proof of purchase for validation.
Our custom-ordered rods, engineered, designed, and handcrafted by BardeRodz, are protected by a three (3) year limited warranty from the date of purchase. As with our BRED Series, this warranty is limited to the original owner and requires proof of purchase.
Warranty registration is required within 60 days of purchase date to be eligible for coverage. Register your rod using our online warranty registration form.
This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and maintenance. BardeRodz will repair or replace, at our discretion, any rod that proves defective in material or workmanship under normal use during the applicable warranty period.

To initiate a warranty claim, submit the warranty claim form through our website. You will then need to return the damaged rod to BardeRodz (shipping address will be provided upon claim submission). Please include your warranty registration confirmation and proof of purchase with your return. Allow up to 5 business days for response once your claim is received.
Warranty replacements for custom handcrafted rods require a $95 replacement fee to start and may be higher depending on custom rod specifications, plus shipping costs. The original rod must be returned for inspection, and any replacement rod will be built to the original specifications.
For BRED Series rods, a $50 replacement fee plus shipping costs applies. The original rod must be returned for inspection.
BardeRodz reserves the right to replace discontinued models with comparable models. Colors and components may vary between original and replacement parts. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
All rods will be shipped USPS, UPS or FedEx to the address indicated. Shipping starts at $38.00 flat rate for one rod. Oversized rods (shipping box over 93 inches) may incur additional charges. Rods 8 feet or over cannot be shipped — they are available for pickup only.
The production schedule of fishing rod blanks and components can also impact delivery. Some options may add additional time to the delivery date.

All sales are final. No returns or exchanges on any rod due to the custom nature of the product. If you have any concerns, please contact us before purchasing.

A memorial rod carries a small amount of a loved one's cremated remains — a person or a pet — swirled into the marbled split-grip section. Because what you're trusting us with can't be replaced, these are the terms we follow on every memorial rod.
For memorial rods, this section takes precedence over the Return Policy, warranty claims process, and shipping terms on this page wherever they differ.
Before any work begins, we talk through the ashes, this policy, colors, and timing. Nothing is built until we've had that conversation.
When remains arrive, we log and photograph the container, keep it sealed and labeled, and work on one memorial at a time so remains are never mixed.
Memorial rods are paid in full before any work begins.
We keep none. You must choose one when you order — this choice is part of your order:
Remains are never discarded.
If you cancel before your loved one's remains are set in epoxy, we'll refund your payment minus the cost of any parts already ordered for your rod, and return the ashes at your postage cost. Once the remains are set in epoxy, the order is final.
Your rod's warranty applies as usual — except that for a memorial rod, we ask for photos instead of the rod itself, so your loved one's remains never leave your hands. Because we keep no remains, remaking the marbled section requires you to send a new small amount.
Timing depends on shipping and what's on the bench; we'll give you an honest estimate, but we can't guarantee a date unless we agree to one in writing. Marbling is swirled by hand, so colors and flecks can't be matched exactly — no two are alike.
We never share photos of your rod or your story without your written permission.
BardeRodz reserves the right to modify this warranty policy at any time. The warranty in effect at the time of purchase will apply to your rod.
